Before this title, it was supposed to be 2016, you weren't amazing. I felt as though I've met with the shittest people i'll ever meet, done the stupidest things i'll ever do, and felt the worst of the worst emotions ever felt, then I looked through my pictures and I realised yes it was pretty bad, but I didn't realize it was pretty darn great as well. Where do I began? I was featured in magazines and newspapers, and it was awesome. Its not as easy as it seems, to be able to give answers that are sufficient in terms of information to the reporters or to repeat certain poses or making sure they are natural. I love everything about the media. my first trip in 2016 and it was a solo trip, I am generally an independent person but this is a whole new level of independence. I liked it to be honest, I get to go to places I want to go and understand who I am as a person. I EVEN WENT TO DISNEYLAND SO, i can check that off the bucket list. The drama I acted in came out:Fantasia 幸福专卖店, thanks to The Ultimate Actor 非常演员 I was given the opportunity to be the female lead for one of the stories and it was the best feeling. I was paired with one of best actors and he was delightful and simply amazing, I learnt so much about acting as well as life through his experiences. I did my first travelogue for a beautiful island up North. There, I learnt how to ride a motorcycle and it was exhilarating. Don't be afraid of fallind down, just get back up; be afraid of not trying because you might never get up. My second major role, a supporting role in the drama I am Not Loser 真心不怕输 ( airing in April 2017)。 Again, working with the industry's tops, I feel so honoured and also at the same time was so nervous. I love what I do, I love performing, I love acting, I might not be fantastic, but I am grateful for chances like these, to learn from the best and to be guided by professionals in the industry. I became a fairy, angel/ butterfly. I became a child. Filming with kids, it is a tough job, I built patience, trust me when I say this I've never been so patience. I reconnected with friends i've lost touch with because of work, because of life, because of my own mistakes, and 2016 gave them back to me. #10 years and counting I was blessed and I believe I am still blessed, I tried and I failed, I tried and I succeed, I tried and I never looked back on my decisions. Regret doing, but never regret not doing it, that's my motto, because at least I know, I TRIED.
2016, you were tough, but I am tougher. Thank you.
Happy 2017.

12/11/2016 0 Comments Degree, a waste of money? So often now we hear people say: I don't get it why we should get a degree, most people aren't doing what they studied. A science graduate might be doing insurance for all we know. I do agree with the statement, we don't all do what we studied, and we don't all study what we love as well. I am one of the more fortunate ones, I studied what I am passionate about and now freelancing in what I love as well, but this topic is a whole new subject to write about. Sadly, this society is so "realistic" and "materialistic" in a way that that diploma matters so much, it doesn't matter if you bought it, or if you got it through hardwork or if you were merely passing it. Your salary depends on your education level, the way people perceive you is by the title in front of your name, and how you are treated is by your status, and that is society, of course this is generalizing everybody, and we all know one bad apple does not necessary mean the whole bunch of apples are rotten. BUT I'll say this, there is no point getting a degree if you don't know what you are going to use it for, or if you really can't continue studying, its a waste of money and time. However, it doesn't mean stop studying, it means learn something else, a language? a skill set? Use that time and money for something more meaningful. Knowledge is power, but a skillset is the perfect tool for survival! I studied mass communication, majored in broadcasting and minored in advertising. The subjects are interesting, we had practical work as well as theorectical work and a bunch of creative people to work together with. Of course what I would suggest is that: a good school is very important, depending on the course you are taking up. You can be in an extremely prestigious school but that does not necessarily mean they have the best lecturers or subjects for your course, it might be prestigious because of other courses. SO LOOK IT UP and DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE PAYING TONS ON SOMETHING THAT IS "IRRELEVANT" ! In my course, I became a director, a scriptwriter, a producer and my favourite an actor. I got to do so much, from joining clubs to being an exchange student in Amsterdam, they are memories worth keeping. Well, maybe what I am saying is that, if you are really getting that degree, get something else along the way as well. You get to meet so many different people from various background, country and colours. You join clubs and develop new skills and knowledge, like event planning, or how to coordinate something. You get (in my case) have to get an internship in order to graduate, (I am the type of person where by I am scared of doing new things unless somebody is with me or I was force to), and that also builds character. You get your best friends and you get to grow up! This applies to me well, I was a simple country girl with simple taste, jeans and T-shirts but I studied in an institution where by hallways are runways, so it rubs off on me. From not knowing what the ”flower“ is a foundation to owning god knows how many lipsticks. To some it might not be a good thing, but its not a totally bad thing. I was the studious type, when it came to exams I can memorize the whole book, I'll even start 1 month before anybody starts studying, just to score that A. When it came to assignments, I do it for the sake of doing it, to get all the points right, to play safe, to use all the theories to sound smart, without truly understanding it. I REGRETTED IT! Try to understand and do more research on the topic, you won't lose by learning more, and it really does help in the future, either directly or indirectly. You see in the end it doesn't really matter what the world thinks about that degree, to me its what you think! Not everybody can memorize an entire book, and not everybody has what it takes to style hair, I know I can't style a perfect hairdo to save my life. We are made up of DIFFERENT QUALITIES, embraces yours. As the saying goes: you can't judge a fish by its ability to climb trees. A video made during my exchange to Amsterdam, and trust me it was truly beautiful, the people. the place, the talent.
